When You Have A Clue Your're Doing Something Right As A Parent

So often as parents we really do wonder if we are doing anything right! In this article I can at least give you a clue.
- If when you ask your son to do something he does it without you asking a second time. That does not mean he does it immediately, but he does it.
- When from time to time you secretly check up on their chores' to pleasantly be surprised and see they are doing them. Maybe not exactly the way you would but close enough. Then you must go to them and commend them on that. They will be elated to know your pleased and you carried enough to check up on them. That makes them feel secure. Now if you are not pleased then you must make that known too. In the case of one of my son's chores, if I check again to find what I did not want to find last time, he will lose his allowance that week. That gets him straight right away.
- When they automatically do something that you didn't expect them to do. That can be a rare thing to see but if and when it does, make a big deal out it. Tell them how much you appreciate it.
- When your daughter writes you a letter or a note on your computer with her own spelling daddy I love you'
- When your kids at prayer time will pray for someone you did not think about.
- When your kids play together and have fun at the same time. What a wonderful thing to behold!
- When someone you don't know comes up to you and compliments you on your kids conduct.
